"In early 2023 we installed machinery with new technologies to improve energy efficiency and reduce our environmental footprint.
The adoption of a new kiln, 170m long, has allowed PIEMME to achieve significant energy savings and advantages on quality production.
– The kiln is equipped with an “oxygenator” to properly regulate the volumes of combustion and optimize the amount of methane’s consumption.
– The latest-generation burners are designed to reduce NOx emissions and improve the heat exchange with the material.
– The heat generated during the indirect heating phase is recovered and is then used by the new “Zero-Fuel” dryer, also recently installed.
The inline pressing machine along with the possibility of cutting the material to the required size, allows the system to recycle 100% the waste material, further improving the productivity."
